MEET THE BOSS!

Master Barber Chris originally trained as a barber and ladies’ hairdresser before going to university, where he continued working in the industry whilst studying.

He has worked in the industry for 25 years, including time spent in prestigious Cheshire barbers’ pampering the rich and famous! He has taught barbering at college level and now offers private and group tuition in all aspects of barbering (click here for more info)

Chris was awarded the prestigious accolade of Master Barber in 2017 as a reflection of his experience and expertise in the industry and became one of the first 50 barbers in the country to attain the highest level 4 HABIA award in male grooming, and is a State Registered Senior  Barber.  All the stylists in our shops have been trained by Chris in mens’ hair.

Chris opened his first shop in 2010, working on his own above a tanning salon. With his wife Rebecca, they have expanded the business to a chain of four salons, with plans to expand Abbott & Co Hair Company further in the future. They are committed to contributing to the local community, employing and training apprentices from the local area, and supporting other local businesses.

Tim joined us after Chris spotted his potential whilst training barbers at a college. He completed his training with Chris at our Hadfield shop and is now based in Chapel en le Frith. He is fully qualified & a State Registered Barber.

Tim is a highly skilled barber and is accomplished in providing luxury hot towel cut throat shaves. He has enjoyed some of the best training available in this country including travelling to Menspire in St Albans with Chris for an advanced course on the very latest techniques.

Tim has been involved in magazine photoshoots with Chris and the team, helping out both with styling and as a model in front of the camera. Tim was also previously a semi pro kick boxer – Our team can turn their hand to anything!

State Registered Barber Ben has learned his craft from Chris and is a naturally talented barber. He picked up essential skills very quickly and is obsessed with all things barbering.

Along with the rest of the team, Ben has trained with some of the leading barbers in the country- and it shows.

Ben is a family man, married with 2 kids. He is naturally very patient and easy to talk to, putting his clients at ease.

Other shops keep trying to poach Ben from us, but we are keeping hold of him!

Ben offers all barbering services including hot towel cut throat shaving, and currently works between 3 of our shops.

Tara joined us as an Apprentice in our Chapel en le Frith shop. She made the transition from ladies’ hairdresser to barber under the watchful eye of Chris. Along with our other staff, we have invested in the very best training to help Tara achieve her full potential.

Tara is very creative, with a love of fashion. Her barbering skills are very advanced and she has shown a great aptitude for creative barbering. Her work on our latest photoshoot was very impressive.

Tara is meticulous and methodical in her work, she always takes time to make sure her clients leave with the very best of haircuts. She currently works mainly from our Chapel en le Frith shop where she also offers a bespoke fashion colouring service for men.

Danielle is a very experienced and skilled senior ladies’stylist. Her colour work has her in high demand and you can expect a two week wait to get an appointment with her. Danielle has previously worked in a very high end salon in Australia and now manages our boutique ladies’ salon.

Danielle offers a comprehensive hair extension consultation, fitting and maintenance service. She has many years experience in the following extension techniques:

• Celebrity weaves
